Collina Serragrilli” winery

Collina Serragrilli Winery is placed on the top of a hill just out from Neive village into the heart of the Barolo/Barbaresco district in Piedmont (NW Italy).

A family company making wines since 1850, "Collina" means "Hill" and "Serragrilli" is its name. The Lequio family has always grown vines, adding new vineyards every year. Today 80% of the 15-hectare planted surface is family owned.

From the beginning many things have changed and today the last generation of the Lequio family still continues this oenological tradition.

Dr. Gianfranco Cordero has been involved as official oenologist of the company, and thus the quality of the wines has vastly increased and the brand acquired more prestige.

Many of our wines have been awarded and reviewed by the most renowned Italian wine guides and by international magazines. The Barbaresco cru "Serragrilli" DOCG , Barbera d'Alba "Grillaia" DOC and Langhe Rosso"Grillorosso" DOC are shown and preserved in The Bank of the Wine by Slow Food in a Castle housing also the unique "University of Gastronomic Sciences" in Pollenzo ( http://www.agenziadipollenzo.com).

Only 300 producers out of 12000 in Italy have been selected for the bank.
